such a really weird dinner... shazeen and i went to this italian restaurant, Bella Trattoria, in our neighborhood... the owner or the waiter or whoever he was suddenly got all excited as soon as he found out that i understood italian a bit... he started talking so fast in 
italian to me, and i was struggling to understand what the heck he was saying... :D then slowly he suggested us some dishes he said were good... but at the end we chose the seafood since you know, my eating weirdness about meat. then we also chose the antipasti that he said was good and excellent for us to try since it had small samples of appetizers... you know, we thought something like puputray in chinese restaurant...
but we thought wrong...
when the antipasti came and he explained what those were... both of us just stared at it and WOW! GREAT!!! HMM!! he he he... there were a slice of pork (no clue if it was cooked or raw.. looked raw, tho..
i couldn't eat it, shazeen was just scared to try), then diced feta cheese, 2 chunk mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, some seasoned pepper, slices of seasoned zucchini, olives, slices of cold boiled artichoke, slices of seasoned eggplant that looked like mushrooms to us at 1st. okay!!! 1st off when it comes to new stuff, i'm the person who'll try 1st before saying 'i don't like it'. so, even tho i know i can't eat eggplant, 'n i tried before, 'n i still don't like it 'n can't eat it, tonite, i gave it a try AGAIN... oh my Lord, holy mother of God, ajudubile minjalik, 
DAMN!!!! it was nasty!!!! it was cold, it tasted so weird, and the texture.. GOD! why did You create eggplant? i could only chew it 2x then i drank my water... shazeen was really smart, as soon as she saw my expression she just said, ok i pass... he he he... then again same thing happened when i tried the zucchini 'n the artichoke... i ate artichoke before, it wasn't bad at all. but this time, what is up with italians????????????????? Jesus Christ!!!! they can cook GREAT pasta, pizza, lasagna 'n everything else in the world, but were they high when they created this???? it was the MOST horrible antipasti i've ever had in my life... man!!!! shazeen's comment was 
'from all the veggies in the world, somehow all the veggies i can't eat were in the same plate tonite!' he he he
thank goodness, the main dish was wayyy much better... still it wasn't exactly what we expected it... at the end both of us kept laughing at the whole thing 'n ourselves as if we were drunk. 'n we didn't even have a drop of alcohol. what a dinner! the weirdest dinner ever 'n expensive, too, considering we couldn't fully enjoy the whole thing...
so forget about puputray... 1 lesson learnt tonite... never ever think any western food that sounds like puputray ever anything like the real puputray... ha ha ha...
