he calls me... he calls me not...

living in the world where many double standards are applied, being a girl isn't easy at all... especially when it comes to dating... however, compared to 30 or 50 years ago, i guess we, the girls, are living in a much better situation...


such an old song, yet still playing... 'he hasn't called 'til now.. hmm is he gonna call? should i call him?'. at the end, we just stare at the phone... carry the phone everywhere... set the phone ringer to the loudest, keep checking every 5 min. just in case we miss the call or he leaves us any message 'cuz there's no signal where we at.... looking back, i feel so stupid hehehe, but the game is always the same everywhere... sometimes we take the matter to our own hands and call the person... if we're lucky, he picks up the phone 'n we have good conversation. but occasionally, we only reach the answering machine or we call him at the bad time. then as soon as we hang up, we're basically yelling at ourselves 'stupid.. stupid... stupid!!! what the hell was i thinking!!!'... :)

thus far girls still ask and complain about how guys behave. why guys always say he's gonna call then he never calls? why this... why that... guys are this... guys are that... :)) but thanks to 'sex and the city'*, my friends and everything i've learnt in my life so far... i've acquired that when a guy is really into the girl he's pursuing, he'll ring her right away.. no matter how busy he is, he will make a time to call, even tho just for 1 min to say hi... and he will do what he says he's gonna do for her. contrarily, if he isn't that into the girl, don't bother to wait for his call. he'll come up with 1 million excuses why he doesn't call... :)

on the other side of the road, in reality, girls are not better either. some girls can be full of games and VERY tricky :) some can be worse than guys... trust me :) i am a girl, and i've done my shares to be naughty, too hehehe... however, i myself at times can't believe to see what some girls are capable of doing... and the guys just fall into the trap and have no slightest clue what's coming :D unbelievable!... therefore, not all the blames are on the guys ;) some guys are waiting for the girls to call, too... believe it or not :)

people will constantly have opinions towards anything, no matter what we do. a girl can be perceived as aggresive when she asks a guy out or calls a guy. but nowadays, i also hear guys who are wishing to have girls come up to them and ask them out OR just ask for their number. confusing, eh? :) scratch your head more, once an article i read somewhere said that it's always in their nature that guys are the hunters, not being the hunted, so it's still better to let the guys do the job... see, how everything's so puzzling??? ... hmm hypothetically girls now are allowed to make a move, too ;) and guys are more receptive to that... girls just need to be really smart about it, so it won't look cheesy or make themselves look like a slut.

so my thought is... just do whatever our guts tell us to do... why always worry what others gotta say about us? people will always have something to say regardless of what we do. we'll never be able to satisfy the whole world. hence, why don't we make ourselves happy? if you don't feel like to call, then don't call. if you do, then call... if the guy is such an ass, then move on. the same rules goes for the guys... capisce? ;)

guys say 'women are really hard to understand'... true that!... girls say 'men are just weird creatures. we can't understand them'... that's true, too... :D nevertheless, perhaps it's not that hard for guys to comprehend girls and vice versa. as the whole world knows, guys are for the most part using either their brain or their penis to think :) since girls don't have penis, they need to mute their heart and use their brain MORE. i know, it's extremely tough sometimes, but at least that can get them through... on the other hand, girls are tough ones to crack, too... perhaps guys need to circulate their blood more to their heart and feelings, not only to their brain or penis, to understand girls.. hehhehe... **
