the royal wedding

"the course of true love never did run smooth." ~W. Shakespeare
after all the ups and downs, prince charles 'n camilla wed finally... is this considered as modern true love? soulmate? destiny? or.. what do you call this? 'cuz they've had their affair for more than 3 decades... they've married with other people too... at the end, they're finally together...
so, this is what i think...
** people get married with their own reasons... from what i learn so far, only some marriages are based on love, 'n the rest are based on 1 or many reasons...
** i guess, if it's meant to be, then it WILL happen no matter what and when
** even though charles has his own mistakes, i gotta give him a credit for standing up for his belief and the person he loves despite of the negative criticisms he received f/ around the world. how many guys in this world can do such thing... esp. in such high position like him?
** there's a saying 'good things happen to those who wait'... does it apply here?
** love is REALLY blind... diana 'n camilla are 2 completely different women, from age, look, personality, behavior, etc etc., yet charles still chose camilla... so what is it teaching us?
** maybe it's a good thing for charles marrying diana first 'cuz brit's future king is sooooo cute :D
a wedding poem written by Britain's Poet Laureate Andrew Motion as tribute for this wedding
Spring Wedding
I took your news outdoors, and strolled a while
In silence on my square of garden-ground
Where I could dim the roar of arguments,
Ignore the scandal-flywheel whirring round,
And hear instead the green fuse in the flower
Ignite, the breeze stretch out a shadow-hand
To ruffle blossom on its sticking points,
The blackbirds sing, and singing take their stand.
I took your news outdoors, and found the Spring
Had honored all its promises to start
Disclosing how the principles of earth
Can make a common purpose with the heart.
The heart which slips and sidles like a stream
Weighed down by winter-wreckage near its source -
But given time, and come the clearing rain,
Breaks loose to revel in its proper course.
k... enuf...
back to work :)
"Perfect love is rare indeed - for to be a lover will require that you continually have the subtlety of the very wise, the flexibility of the child, the sensitivity of the artist, the understanding of the philosopher, the acceptance of the saint, the tolerance of the scholar and the fortitude of the certain." ~Leo Buscaglia
