spouse = roommate ?

ok... so you fall in love then decide to get married... everything is happy happy joy joy... down the road you have kids and are still together... 5 years pass... 10 years pass... you both are still together surpassing all the fightings, make ups, ... everything (or almost) about marriage...

hmm... what's the feeling like when you're already with that person for such a long time... started with attraction, lust, like, love... then what? you already get used to each other. you basically know 'almost' every single detail of your other 1/2... does the 'love' feeling change to something like a 'love' feeling towards siblings or still the 'love' you felt when you 1st met her/him?

seeing my friends get married and have kids gets me to think... so they need more than just companionship?? why do they wanna get married? in the beginning, who created marriage and for what purpose?

i have so many thoughts about this... but i can't sort anything out.. maybe i'll post more someday...
