and finally....

pictures of nycafter all this time i'm finally here...

excited??? oh yea! nervous?? uh huh!... but mostly, i'm SUPA excited. lotta things i gotta do 'cuz yesterday was also the day i was moving in to my new place... orrrr, more like my new ROOM :D the apartment itself is furnished, but my room is not. so i'm moving in to an empty room :D well, there are 1 closet, lights and the cable for tv... but basically there's NOTHING else in there.. not a bed, or even dust :D 1 of my new roommates felt bad, and she lent me her sleeping bag.... :D

nothing major really happened... only a li'l argument w/ the cab driver who didn't know shit about nyc, and when i told him the direction, he didn't even bother to listen... but oh well, he's not worth to mention any further.... cab driver, somehow they're all the same.. regardless who they are, where they're from or where they are...

i guess.... that's my
WELCOME TO DA BIG APPLE!!! :D

so now... what is portland like??? it's a nice city... it's not as big as SF, farrr smaller than nyc, but it's wayyyyyy bigger than stillwater, oklahoma (trust me!) :D the people there are living in much slower pace than CA... don't believe me? try to make a u-turn in a cramped 2-way street, just to steal the only parking spot you see (after driving around for a good 10 min just to find street parking). it's a normal thing to me. no biggie... people don't pictures of portlandlet me make the u-turn, that's fine.. i'll wait 'til the street is 'kinda' empty :D in portland, ladies and gentlemen, these drivers are way too nice... they WAIT. they seriously wait for you from both direction... it might sound normal to some of you... but it's not normal for other drivers, esp. for me. hehehe... well... that's 1 of the examples... portland is cool! they don't have sales tax! YEA!!!!.... the city is clean, has lotta trees, and gives more homey feeling. it's a good place to retire!!! :D

but 1 thing that sux about portland.... goodness gracious... lord, have mercy!!! it rains and rains and rains... non stop!!! 3 weeks i was staying there, only ONE day i saw bright sunlight with no clouds... and that wasn't even for a good 8 hours. i guess oregonians are so used to with the rain, you pictures of portlandbarely see people walk around with umbrella... hhehehe... this is for real, i had some people staring at me when i was using my umbrella... perhaps they thought i was a 'tourist' or some weirdo :D oh well... and 1 more thing about oregon... i think the easiest job ever is to be a weatherman :D 'cuz nothing change from day to day... and because it's sooo easy and they had nothing else to report... 1 day, i was watching weather forecast on tv. with some extra serious facial expression, this weatherman said "so today will be the wettest day of the week... bla bla bla bla..." and here i was, sitting in front of the tv and thinking 'is there such thing as the wettest???... it's been raining all day and night, andddd it's been wet! so what difference is the today's rain gonna make to earn the title of the wettest day of the week??'

anyway.... i'm having jetlag now... my eyes and brain are still in PST zone. i can't sleep, but i know i have to sleep 'cuz i have lots of errands to do today (here is already earlyyy morning).... plus my butts hurt!

so... good day, people...

PS: i won't be where i am right now without all the support and love from my family. pagut and nyum :)
