who?... me??
what's your name? where are you from? what do you do? what do you do for fun? 'tell me about yourself'... etc.
those are the basic questions given by people you just meet or during job interview. everybody needs to ID you. at certain institutions, they need more information about you; start from your birthday, your social security number, driver license, passport, etc. i guess with 6+ billion people living on this earth, it's always a good idea to have a system to ID everybody. well, i hope they don't start placing barcode on our forehead or some micro chip or those high tech thingy in our body someday...
so what would you answer if someone ask 'who are you?' :)
the answers could be... oh, i'm a doctor, or i'm a housewife, or i'm a lawyer, or whatever title you wanna put for yourself. those are justifiable responses, however, behind all those titles, do you really know WHO you really are? :)
i myself am still searching and learning. thus far, i would say that i'm a person shaped and taught by my family, friends & relatives, environments, educations, experiences, workplaces, strangers, acceptance of my own mistakes, strengths and weaknesses and other more factors... over decades, over all the ups and downs, achievements, successes and failures, fights, tears, crazy acts, i become who i am right now. i am far from perfect, and i will never be... but at least, i'm trying my best
so, if i have to put 'titles' on myself, i'd say that:
i'm a bitch, i'm a lover, i'm a child, i'm a mother (rrrr, scratch that! i'm NOT a mother)... i'm a sinner, i'm a saint, i'm your hell, i'm your dream, i'm a tease, i'm a goddess (he he.. in the eye of the beholder :D), i'm an angel undercover, and i am nothing in between... ha ha ha ha... ok ok... i gotta credit Meredith Brooks for the lines, but STILL, those really describe who i am :D ;)
and, if i have to use my own words...
i am a big city girl who was born and raised far far farrr away in asia... where in asia? well, just imagine that you're stuck in the airplane for more than 24 hours just to fly home PLUS hours of stop overs PLUS the tight airline seats, PLUS pretzels/peanuts (if you're lucky... during US flights) and pretty descent food during international flights (that again, if you're lucky) ;)... almost 1/2 of my life, i have been in this country. despite of my hatred of moving, but somehow i've managed to live in 4 states, 5 cities (that each has COMPLETELY different characteristics), and God knows how many apartments i'd moved in to and how many changes of address i've made. post office might already get sick of seeing my name by now, and it's time for my own parents to buy a new address book he he he... :D i LOVE to dance, travel, take pictures and movies. anything new, exciting, crazy, create adrenalin rush, i'm there :D i know my parents will scratch their head now if i say that skydiving would be the next thing i really wanna do :D well, there're others, but i don't think it's wise to mention all of 'em here :D
life is what you make it. it's too short, and unfortunately being young is shorter than the life itself. while i am trying to achieve my goals, i'm trying my best to live my life to the fullest and be happy within. i don't want to look back someday and say 'i wish' :) been there, done that, seen how it happened to my closest friends, and i hate it. i'm very grateful for every single person/thing i have, and being who and where i am right now. nothing is easy, but no complain so far. i decided where i wanna be and what i wanna do, and this is the path i choose. the path that made my mom once said to me "how come your life sounds so much like an indian soap opera??", and my own sister asked 'why can't you meet normal people?'... hehehe... don't ask me why. long story :D... having said that, i would have to credit my family for being my backbone. without them, i am nothing ;)
so that's me... and more... plus how some people find out about me :D. i do realize that i haven't been thru as much as others, so i'm always watching, observing, listening and learning.
note:
* in a way, it's good to know more and more about yourself as you start to know what you really want... however, at the same time, somehow you create yourself becoming a picky person 'cuz you slowly set a standard of what you want and what you're looking for.
** that's it. please never ask me to write 'about me' section again, kay?
question: so WHO ARE YOU people who have been coming here and reading my blog? dare to tell me? :P
