babies = toys?

i had my TV on while i was getting ready this morning... and there was 1 of the daytime TV talk show. the show was about these teenagers (around 14 and 15) who have been having sex (since they were 12 or 10... damn!) with so many guys 'cuz they're trying to have babies. they collected baby clothes, toys, etc. and they even chose the baby's name already. when they were asked how they were gonna support their babies... they answered that they'd do anything, including selling their body. 1 girl even said, if my baby needs new clothes, i have plenty of them. if my baby needs pacifier, i have 3 extra.... then the screen showed how many clothes, toys, and pacifiers she already prepared for her baby..... yea, sure thing that a baby only need 3 pacifiers, a suitcase of clothes, and 1 big bin of toys. have they ever thought of pampers and how much those pampers will cost them? how about the clothes they need to buy constantly 'cuz the baby keeps growing? the food? education? soap? shampoo? and million other things that a baby needs? how on earth are these young girls gonna provide?

there i was ... thinking...

how world has changed so much... my teenage time feels like in the dinosaur era. well, yea, hormon was there. boys were around, and i knew some of my high school friends who had sex already. BUT i dunno... my friends and i were still busy with extra activities outside schools or hanging in the malls or going to some parties... are we just the nerdy crowd? maybe, hehehe... whatever... however, the ones who did it already, they didn't seem to rush having babies at all... so wassup with kids nowadays???

my oh my...

don't these girls know that there're so much in life they can do/have than having babies in their tender age? do they think that babies are toys that they can just put away when they're bored? i have seen how some people still have problems raising their kids although they're married and "mature". imagine these girls....

anyway,
i'm not against anybody who wanna have kids. it's their choice, and it's a beautiful thing. however, what i'm saying is that it'd be best for them and the babies when the parents are prepared mentally, physically and financially. babies are not toys. they're freakingly expensive and they're not pets that you can leave them at home when you're out partying. kids comes with HUGE baggage and responsibilities for the parents. there're so many messed up kids out there, please don't add another one

the sex 'might' be good... so enjoy it :D but take some precautions. diseases are everywhere and they ain't pretty. and the baby? don't get me wrong. babies are cute, soft, etc etc etc... but they sure will change one's world inside out and upside down.... well, at least that's what i'm thinking based on from what i've seen so far...


i guess the kids nowadays start having sex in much earlier age, huh?... is it because of media? movies? educations? parents? environment? or...???


PS: i'm not abandoning this blog :) i just don't post as frequent as i used to. too many things are going on in my life right now, and i'm enjoying every single second of it :)
